My father taught me all about firearm safety when I was young. We went to the range or grandpa's farm to shoot a couple times a year. He grew up hunting dove and quail, but lost passion for it when he became a family man.
He is a single man now at 62, and focuses on his kid's and grandkid's passions. He loves shooting his bow and guns with me.
We started hunting together occasionally a few years ago. Last deer season, he connected on his first whitetail ever. This season, he killed two. Today, he killed his first duck. Our time in the fields, woods, mud, and cold water are more rewarding than I expected they ever could be.
Sorry for the catchy thread title...
