Went out this morning to kill some pigs. First time I've hunted with anything other than my bow on this place. I got a new weatherby tactical 12gauge for Christmas and decided to give it a try after sighting it in. At 4am a group of about 20 pigs came in and a nice fat sow fave me a broadside shot at 40 yards. I pulled the trigger and nailed her right in tight to the shoulder. I was hunting in a river bottom and they all bolted right at the river. She followed and barely made it over the bank. Sure enough right about half way across she sank never to be seen again. Went back and followed the blood and had great pink frothy blood right up to were she went in at. Walked the bank up and down and couldn't find her. Must be a sign I should stick with the bow.
