Not fleas, just heart worms from what I've experienced

not a vet but been giving all the pups trifexis for years, no issues. Corgi got sick once because I didn’t give it to her with food but thats it

in for opinions though, that stuff is dang expensive

Ivomec for dogs IS NOT ON THE LABEL... off label use, yes people do it... no it doesn't kill MANY dogs, but you can do it. IMHO Trifexes is WAY safer and more value in it. Mine have been on it since it came out. No issues

Ivomec on the tongue does NOTHING for fleas...

Feed after they eat. There are a FEW cases where Trifexes MAY have been an issue causing some neuro issues... I haven't seen anywhere where anybody can say for sure it was the meds that caused the issue... But do a little research into dogs that are ivomectin sensitive. specifically collies and Aussie Shepards.

I'll say this, I work at a place we sell ivomec and we are not allowed to talk about using it on dogs due to liablility... you have to talk to a vet on that one

We use trifexis but the last couple times we gave it to our dogs they both threw up several hours later. We're going have to find something different.

If you see me buying a hairless cat, you will know I'm going catfishing and needed some trotline bait!

If it stays down for 1 hour they should still be getting a full dosage of the medicine.

I use Sentinel on my dog. Seems to be good. Is Trifexis better?

I had my male lab on Trifexis for about a year without any problems, then two doses in a row he got sick. Started throwing up and got the runs. First time I dismissed it for something else, then the next time it was bad. I had to take him to the Emergency. He was throwing up a bunch of purple-ish mucus. I wasn't chancing it anymore. Typically if the dog has issues with Trifexis it is because of the Comfortis chemical in it.

So the vet switched him to NexGuard and Tri-Heart. He did that for a while with no problems, but the vet quit carrying NexGuard.

So now him and the rescue I got last year are now on Bravecto and Tri-Heart. They will take their 3rd Bravecto treatment this week and have seen no ill effects. Also no fleas or ticks. My male usually picks up a tick or two at the property cause he likes to push through the brush, but they never latch on. I just find them crawling across the top of his coat.

You are going to hear bad stories with all of them. So far my dogs have done well on the Bravecto. It's kinda nice cause you only give it every 90 days and it comes out cheaper than the Trifexis.

THis is what I use for my dog. She doesnt have a problem with parasites so the third leg of the Trifexis tablet wasnt required.
