Ah, grasshoppa, you get 1/2 point , but the movie town of Lonesome Dove was not on Willie's property. It was built on the Moody Ranch.

" The actual town of Lonesome Dove was built on the nearby Texas/Mexico border at the Rio Grande River on the Moody Ranch. The ranch is a working cattle operation and unfortunately can’t accommodate sightseers."

I don't know what specific buildings were on Willie's place, but it was not the town.

I get more than 1/2 a point for post #10. And I gave 2 deer on the wall from Moody Ranch so I get bonus points.

Wasn't Luck Texas the town for that portrayed Ogallalla Nebraska in the movie?

I have seen the movie so many time I can play it in my head. I was young when it came out on TV and my mother recorded it on VHS. Which I watched for years. When I start work in high school I bought the movie for myself. I find it is a great gift at and occasion.

            BEST MOIVE OF ALL TIME!!!

What a small world. The older couple who gave the tour are a good friend of mines parents. She grew up out there. She just sent me Text that said the floods wiped out what the Mexicans didn't steal.

In that guys blog he said they were going to pile everything up that fell and burn it, I bet people would have came and got that old barn wood and scrap. I would have for sure. Or the ranch could have sold it.

#1 movie in my book, my sons middle name is Augustus. He's 5 months old and I already made it a habit to tell him he's one of a kind.
