I just picked up a 540IR for Ben at Bass Pro on Sale for $99 bucks. We are running two Moultrie 200s, D40, two Stealth 590s, and a homemade right now. I think every camera has issues and it all comes down to getting a good one from the batch.

As far as the best.....everybody has problems with all of them...Stealth, Moultrie, Scoutgard, LeafRiver, Cuddeback, etc etc.
Cross your fingers, purchase one at your own risk and hope like hail you get a good one.....if not Academy and Cabelas are your exchanging friend.

Roscoe, I've got a Stealth I590 I'll sell ya!
I am one of the people that is having all the problems that Roscoe described about the 590s. The cam worked perfect during home tests and for the first week in the field. It went down hill from there.
Just so folks know that I'm not bashing this particular unit...I spoke to a buddy that works at Academy about returns on the 590s and he said there have been very, very few returns. It's still early in the game but Academy's had them on (selling off) they're shelves for a while now. If the unit was problematic like the Remington Ghost, then I say with fair certainty that there would already be numerous returns.

see i have not had a lick of problem from either one of the remington ghost i have...... they work perfectly if you know how to work them. like everytime you turn the unit off you have to reset the time.... it has a timer for the infared so if you dont set the timer the infared wont work most of the time. plus the aiming laser is big so in the daytime it shines pretty good. also the sensor is really good. hair trigger but good it detects stuff a far way away
