          Very Nice Bobcat.

This is perhaps the longest running bobcat thread in history.

I hunt in corylle county and on my first trip to the stand closet to the house i had a cat that was very short haired just like the first pic-and the tail was long as well. but face and ears looked bobcaty- my dad said if it had a long tail I had to much to drink the night before. Mabye its the Texas water or just a very pretty bob.

That's one beautiful bob cat! The cats down here are almost grey with few spots at all.

                      Bobcat or ocelot

Cool Picture. Given that both animals live in your area and that this cat has traits of both, I believe it to be a hybrid. The long legs and short tail are bobcat traits, while the markings are obviously ocelot.

The question is more one of wondering whether this cross took place in nature (as is happening with polar and grizzly bears in the north) or in someone's home menagerie. The latter is the more likely, though either is possible. I wonder if it is a sterile specimen as most such crosses would be, or if it represents a new species.

I suggest taking the photo to the nearest university biological sciences department for their evaluation.

Can they innerbreed? The markings say Ocelot and the tail Bobcat.
