anyone replace garage door springs in georgetown area

Just sitting here drinking whiskey when I heard a loud noise. Went to inspect and found the spring broken. Anyone do this and want to make some cash? If not any recommendations for someone in the area?

    New year's day bump. anyone?

Guess I'll get out there in the afternoon and see what it takes to open the door so we can get the wife's car out...

Mine was the kind above door when it broke sounded like a gun shot, I had a door company come do mine and add another spring, I think around $400 good luck ..

Yea it sounded like the fireworks that was going off around my house hit the door. Sucks that it happened on a holiday though. Hopefully I can get someone out tomorrow or Monday. I took Monday off since my kids don't have school that day so would be good to get it fixed while I'm still home.

You should have a handle to pull and disconnect your door track to get the door
Open by lifting it the old fashioned way. The springs
Can kill you if you don't have the tools needed. Good luck

I changed out my own springs over the summer. Easy job. Just pay attention and you can do it yourself and save $$$$. You Tube how to change a garage door spring.

I called a door repair place that advertises doing them on weekends. They said one of their repair guys is out today and when he finishes his current job, he will give me a call and I can arrange it then. I'm not in a rush to get the door open just want it fixed before I go back to work.

Hey bud I am working today and all of this weekend into next week but if you want when I get off at 7pm tonight I can let you borrow the bars I made to back the old spring off and to put the new one on. I can also give you a quick run down on how to do it if you want. I am not in the buisness but have done it a couple of times and my brother and dad own a garage door buisness in Weatherford that we can call for info if you run into trouble?
