    **Lease Choices**

Talking to a lease broker about 4 possible properties for next season. I do not have a lot of information as of yet about how many members on each property. I am coming to the GS to get some input on the areas that are in the 4 properties below. No pics or anything else as if yet....

    Thanks in advance.

Lease #11: 160 AC, located near Ballinger. Whitetail, Dove, Quail, Hogs and Turkey. The property has a water tank - blinds and feeders provided. $1,250/gun

Lease #13: 250 AC, approximately 11 miles east of Bronte. Whitetail, Dove, Quail, Hogs and Turkey. The property has a water tank - no blinds or feeders. $1,500/gun

Lease #58: 15,000 AC ranch NW of Big Lake, TX. This ranch has some monster bucks! Whitetail, Mule Deer, Hogs, Turkey, Dove, Quail and Predators. There are other hunters on this lease but it is not and will not be diluted. The price includes year around access, RV spot, water, sewer, electric is included. Hunters must provide their own feeders. Kids under 18 can come hunt and there is a $500 additional charge for a blind. $2,500/gun

Lease #62: 30 AC Located 60 miles south of Ozona on the Pecos River with no public access. 2 - 10pt. bucks are regularly on the property. Whitetail, Turkey, Hogs, Javelina and Mountain Lions. Can take 2 bucks per hunter, 1 spike and 1 doe. Fishing rights included. Water and electric available. Annual lease. $2,250/gun

I would go with #58 due to it having mule deer. The others just seem to small for the area especially with other hunters.

Might consider 13 if I had the whole place to myself, good neighbors, and a good population of deer.
                Otherwise it's a no brainer...58.

Wouldn't pick it because it is so small, but the fishing in the Pecos is unbelievable. We go down there a few times a year and catch 40-60 pound yellow cats regularly. The water is also so clear we spearfish a bunch of carp and gar.

Only problem with #58 is that I vaguely remember him saying that bow hunting is allowed during bow season, but that he would not recommend bow hunting during gun season. Sounded kind of odd to me....

58 unless 13 has lots of deer with potential.

I would pay the extra 1k for a chance at good mule deer
