    New Years Resolutions?

Who has them? What are they? I've never made any before, but I hear about them every year. Things like losing weight, getting shape, etc.. I'd love to get in better shape, but I know myself too well to think that will happen

I don't know if it's a resolution or just a goal. I'd like to finally be able to go on an Axis hunt, and kill a nice Buck.

As far as a resolution, I want to be a better husband, father, and friend. I want to pray more, and listen better. I want to plan more family vacations, and quality time with the Mrs.. I'm blessed to have the things God has given me. It seems like the years go by faster and faster. I guess my resolution is to slow down and enjoy life more.

So who's making resolutions? If you haven't thought about it, I guess now is a good time

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Agree on the vacations and slowing down. Not really a resolution but I have been eating well and exercising for a couple years now. I always relax around the holidays- eat what I want and don't exercise. Back to it next week.

      Haven't made any yet.
Lost 48 lbs last year and got back in shape with diet alone, only to hit a plateau that discouraged me into quitting and gaining 30 of it back...
That and I have no support from the family which is the hardest part. I eat a salad and they'll eat chicken fried steak....

So I'm sure it'll be framed around losing more weight and hitting the gym.

Mac, get back to it and keep at it. Wife supports me and follows the program but nobody else. I lost 50-60 pounds through 2014 and spent 6 months hearing I was too skinny and being ridiculed for not eating this or that. Push through, it's well worth it. See above, I relax during nov-dec but I have kept it off.

To narrow down my hobbies and spend more time with the wife and baby...
Bow hunting, duck hunting, bass fishing, soccer, softball, golf, work, exercise, ect......need to comb it back a little

No "resolutions" but my goal is to keep off the 40 lbs i lost this past year and continue to live a healthy lifestyle (nutrition & excercise). On the spiritual side of things, I want to be more passionate about serving God, hunger more for His word and see Him apply it to my life even more....and i can always use improvement as a husband and father too. I just want God to be my absolute focus this year and have the ability to recognize and eliminate the things that distract me from God and family.

            ....look.... squirrel!!!

Get more in shape. I'm not over weight but I have gained a few belt sizes since I have been married. Get more organized around the house and save money. Make more money

I don't do New Years resolutions because I've always believed if you need to make a change, why wait. No better time than the present to change something you don't like or start working towards a goal you want to achieve! That being said I will never say anything negative about New Years resolutions though and people trying to change something for the better! Good luck to everyone working towards there goals in 2016 and hope everyone has a safe and blessed new year! Heading to arkansas next week to see if I can't get a late archery season buck on the ground!

I think just the fact that it's the beginning of a new year makes people set goals and resolutions. Sure it can be done at anytime. But a fresh new year is a great time to start something

Not really a resolution but there are a few things I want to accomplish this next you.

                    1. Quit drinking during the week
                    2. Get back in the gym in the mornings (I have slacked off during deer season)
                    3. Be a better husband (directly related to 1 and 2)

                            1. Watch my language (James 1:26)
                            2. Watch out for and steer clear of gossip (Proverbs 6:16-19, 26:21-28)
                            3. Get to church more.
                            4. Watch my weight.
                            5. Get deer lease projects completed.

                              ^^^
Same here for #1 and sort of #3.

Not necessarily more church but get to know God better. I'm tired of religion. I want a better relationship.
