Never thought I'd find myself praying for someone to have surgery on their lungs.

      Still praying for you buddy.

Thanks for all the prayers, no cancer in the fluid, he's in surgery now! He's not out of the woods as they still need our prayers until this ordeal is finished!

                Thanks everyone!

                  From Lauryn's blog:

Pathology results have shown that the abdominal fluid is cancer free, so Jim is in surgery right now to biopsy his lung. We found out that the fluid is probably just a result of cancer, causing swelling in his abdominal cavity. No irregular pathology was noted, so infection was ruled out as well.

There will be 2 lesions removed on his right lung. The top being pretty small, and the bottom will be a pretty significant wedge removed from the lung. This is all performed robotically with tiny incisions.

Pathology will then rule out if these lung lesions derive from colon cells, pancreas cells or a whole other cancer derived from lung cells.

Pathology is still pending on the mesenteric mass, as they are digging deeper into this pathology to get as much information as they can get from this tissue.

Jim will probably stay in the hospital overnight, maybe 2 nights. We might be allowed to go home on Sunday.

Thank you for all of your continued prayers and support!

                  Happy New Years Eve,
                  Jim and Lauryn

He already has been there, they were only able to do so much.
