Worms in deer ham

I tried to search...but am on a tablet and wouldnt cooperate.

I shot a buck this evening and when my son and I were cutting it up... i noticed what looked to be a greyish looking worm in the ham by the pelvic bone area..

It was about a half inch long from what I saw...may have been longer. Fairly thick as well.

I have not seen this before...is it common? Anyone run across this before?

Bot fly. It got lost lol. Usually in nasal cavity but I have found one in neck before.

I have seen them up around the neck. I just cut the area out and go on with it. I am not sure about it being in the ham area.
