West Texas bound

On the road to our deer lease in Colorado City. It going to be cold and snowy, they are saying we might get up to 6" of snow.

I'm on the Kent/ Stonewall county line and the temp has dropped about 5 degrees I the last hour we are right at 50 now

The snow might be good, but what they are calling for up here is 50+ mph winds and drifts up to 10'. They have already canceled all incoming flights to the airport. 8 to 16" predicted. Wind is over 30 right now but no precip yet. Suppose to hit about 10.

In my younger years both as an LEO then "EMS" in Lubbock...we had some very challenging shifts in this type of weather!! Dam, glad those days are gone as I feel for all the emergency services protecting and saving during these conditions. They area b...h to work!

The problem i see with this forecast is normally they predict this and then back off on the predictions of the amount of snow and wind. Not this time, even the guys from the NWS are on the local news saying it is coming.
