I had a group of bowhunters in from Louisiana last weekend and hunting had been pretty slow due to moon and warm weather. I took them to their blinds and then went to the nearest blind to continue my doe harvesting. I had shot a mature 12 pt in October, so I was just working on does and culls. About 5:15 Sunday evening, I shot a doe and was waiting her out. A bunch of young and middle age bucks filed in before the feeder went off at 5:30. I saw a fancy buck heading towards feeder and told myself I wouldn't shoot him. He came in and I filmed him until my battery went dead. I took cell phone pictures until I got tired. I got out the grunt and intentionally ran all the deer off, so I could pack up and get out of there at dark. Just as I was fixing to leave blind, I looked out window and the big boy was standing broadside, under the feeder. I couldn't stand it and took the shot. The Slick Trick blew through his heart, he did the mule kick and went about 30 yards. I probably had the fever worse than I can remember in 20 years.
