want info on hunts where a guy has a shot at a deer in velvet

Id like any info on states where guys have hunted and taken a velvet deer, outfitters, etc. Looking at Montana and Kentucky. Bow only

I did Montana a few years ago. Plenty of bucks still in velvet first week in September. We did DIY on public land. Buddy shot a nice 8 in full velvet. Unfortunately I ate my tag.

Kentucky and wyoming if you want OTC. Went with 7j outfitters 2nd week of sept last year about 50/50 on whether or not a deer was in velvet while I hunted. I ended up with a hard horned one. Kentucky this year with a guy who just runs hunts on the side, first week of sept, all deer were in velvet and some really good ones, I got skunked there though...really want a velvet one myself and I would choose ky again on my next try...big deer out there
