I think it was wishfull thinking on number 7. Number 8 looks Paleo though. I cant say definatively from the pictures.

You do have a pretty wide range of ages and there are hints that there was really old cultures there. If you look at the brown piece at the bottom of post 41, you can see flaking with a white patina over it and then flaking with just a little mineralization on it. That is a tool that was flaked and used, then thousands of years later, found by another culture, resharpened and used again.

The big items are roughed out preforms except the far left. It appears to be a hafted flint axe with a little use damage. Pretty nice item.

I don't know about the rocks, but the penny seems to me to be 22 yrs old!

The artifact hunting is the thing I miss the most about the LaSalle county lease I used to be one-- :-(

I found a few items om my Ranch as well. My Ranch Bumps up to Bobby's Ranch. The biggest is a Horse Shoe that looks like it came off a Clydesdale.
