    Euro Cost

My girlfriend shot her first buck with her bow this weekend. It is a cull 4 point and she wants to have it euro mounted. Any suggestions in the Austin area? It has been a while since I have had 1 done, what is she looking at as far a price?

$50-$100 depending on the person. Very easy to do yourself.

      Skin the head
Cut off as much meat as you can!
Boil out the skull, make sure the burs are above the boiling water!
Wash off with water and use a wire to get the cooked brains out of the skull through the spinal canal.

Purchase or make your own Plaque and attach!

Don't even have to skin the head. Boil whole for about 4-6 hours. Periodically take it out and cut away meat. Take to carwash and sparay excess small meat. Degrease then whiten with peroxide from Sally's hair supply.

DIY she will like and enjoy it much more if you do it for her. not hard to do above steps are good way to start.

Another vote for DIY. I'm about to start on my 4th euro of the season, enjoyable and brings another level of appreciation to the mount.

I clean the skull and I also build the Plaque and total cost is less than $18 and the plaque is mad of ash!
