    A refreshing sight on TV.

Sunday morning, I was up drinking my coffee and watching the usual hunting shows. After 3-4 shows it dawned on me that there was something different. These shows are not being dominated by the SLOLOCAM anymore. There are more and more other brands on the tube now. Saw several guy's carrying Hoyts, the first woman to take an elephant with a bow was shooting an XplodeForce , Bill Jordan is carrying a split limb bow that I'm not sure what brand and even ol David Blanton is toting a BLOWTECH! It is really good for the archery community to have more than one brand being plastered all over the TV. Advertising wise, the innovative 1 cam technology still dominates, but that is all smoke and whistles as is all advertising. Now as ya'll know, I have never bashed any brands of bow. Some of this was done all in fun. But it was really refreshing to see other brands of equipment being used by the TV hunters.

They shoot the bow that gives them the most cash........ not what may be the best bow.

I Don't Put Much Stock In What The Tv Hunters Shoot. Like Bo N Aro Stated It's All About Who Is Paying Them To Shoot That Bow. I Do Agree That It Is Good For The Archery Community To Have More Names Out There. Competition Is A Good Thing And Can Only Make Others Strive To Get Better.

It's just for so many years, all everyone wanted was a Slolocam because that is all they ever saw. I've seen so many new comers go into a shop asking for them without ever considering any other brand. All the TV guy's were using them, their buddies all had them ( because the tv guy's had them ) and by golly they had to have one too no matter what.

I was watching this morning and they had several bow kills on "Closing the Distance" and I was just sitting there listening to these guys wondering if they, like Jethro, gradiated the 6th grade.

I find myself not wanting to be affiliated with those clowns at all. I am somewhat educated and I prefer not to sound like I am about to be on an episode of "Cops".

I found myself wondering why there aren't more normal people bowhunting on TV instead of people that certainly do not do the sport any justice.

I bought one. Paid full bill for it too. But, I did it after shooting all of the other bows and found the DXT to my liking. In reality I was all in love with Bowtech when I bought my DXT.

How many MENSA members have you ever met at a campfire?
Ever seen a show on Masterpiece Theatre when they all chit their britches?
Did you see Real Tree (maybe some other brand, can't remember) has teamed up with NASCAR to market clothing and apparell?

If memory serves me right......I popped my cherry with a Blackwidow TF recurve in the trunk of the 70 Plymouth.

I'm kinda partial to Widows, instinctive shooting and 70 Dusters.

What were we talking about again?

I wasn't saying everyone that shoots Maaatt.... still can't say it did not shoot other brands before buying. But, a lot of people did not shoot any other brands. I've got a neighbor that wants to start bowhunting. He said he wants the single cam technology. I asked him what brands he has shot so far and he none. I offered to let him shot my bow, but he refused because his buddies told him to get the other brand. Like I said, not bashing at all, but the marketing flood really did it's job.

I resemble that remark! I was in MENSA. Kicked me out for smoking pot at a meeting. I explained that I had to medically smoke it so I could stand their pretentious bulls@@@! They did not understand.
