Yes, they will screw up your hunt in a hurry. Especially if you have a nice 12 eating protein as you wait for a shot...

Hate them. Only remedy is a feeder pen.

Javelinas, hogs, turkeys, they all suck when you're trying to deer hunt.

Shoot your limit of two, then wear them out with a sling shot.

We got ALOT at our place in Catarina. Take some arrows with blunts to the blind.

I love hunting those things, sitting in a blind is boring, but stalking them is a kick. I wish you could take more then two. We run out of meat in no time. They make good summer sausage also. In fact I would rather hunt them then deer, for the most part.

My first TBH hunt was a Javi hunt almost 3 years ago. They are a blast to stalk on foot with a bow. I'm not sure I'd enjoy hunting them under a feeder nearly as much, but I've never tried it.

I'd pen them and the hogs out... or resort to a slingshot.

Oh yes, they will run your deer away. They will go after the deer under the feeder, my game cam took a picture of one chasing a doe around the feeder. The only thing that can battle those little pests are pigs, but pigs also run deer away from feeders.

Thanks I had a good feeling they were hurting us. I'm watching a dozen of them now as I type. I shot one yesterday then had another group come out so I shot my 2nd one head down facing me in between the eyes. Gonna make good a cool Euro mount with the arrow attached as found.
