They are awesome, how ever they are POV cameras. Whatever you're filming needs to be less than 10 yards away.

    I have a 3 Silver+ I may sell. PM me If interested.

Yep. Definitely a close range rig.

Lots of fun to fiddle with. I have accumulated all Kinds of attachments: roll bar, shotgun, fishing rod, and lots of other mounts for an interesting perspective.

In for knowledge. Bought a Hero4 Silver last month and have been muddling through with trial and error. Fun though!

I have a GP3 silver and a GP Hero that I use for fishing and hunting. As stated before, it is a POV camera so if you want to get the kill shot, do what a few of us do and place it on the ground where you think the deer will be or put it on a feeder leg, etc. Get creative. I would not recommend to mount it to your bow, it doesnt make for good footage depending on your follow through after the shot as well as the bow shock.

Awesome for bird hunting, mount it under the barrel or on some decoys.

Hero version does perfectly fine, the only thing I dont like is that it doesnt connect to Wifi so I cant see how its aimed to make sure I have it where I want it.

My battery is always dead, short life and always seems to get turned on in my pack. That is my only complaint is battery life, that and they are very proud of all the little mounts and accessories $$$$

I have a 3 black and 4 silver with a bag full of accessories. Love these little cameras.

Here is slow-mo of the doe I killvested with my recurve this year. I have the camera on a mono pod in the window of the DoubleBull.

You can setup them up and control them from your smartphone. Good luck and have fun.

If you buy one.....buy one or two more. They are fun to use. This was the first year I tried some different setups while hunting. Example.......I have attached one to a tree about 15 yards from the feeder. On the inside of the ground blind my son has his set up to film us. Then, we have a video camera filming the shot. We are considering purchasing one more. They are not good for low light. The more light the better. Also, if you plan on placing one on a tree....purchase the remote control. The remote control is a must. You can control all of the Go Pros with the remote. You can attach them to your bow. Look up videos on You Tube. Lots of information on the web. Also, they are great for underwater adventures in clear water destinations. We have four of them as a Family currently. #5 is in the works.

Use it to video and then zoom in on the footage with the software.

Forgot about turning them on and off from a smart phone. I do not have any connections where I hunt so I had to have the remote.

I'm not sure what you mean. The gopro is its own wifi network. It doesn't need connections of any sort. I've used my old disconnected smart phones as remotes before. No cell signal required.

There are several on the market. I like having the small HD video cameras instead to video. Sony, Panasonic, etc. The video is much better in my opinion versus cameras attached to a stabilizer. Placed on a tripod they provide great pictures.

There are quite a few people on TBH that have plenty experience using video equipment.

There ya go....I learned something. LOL. I have used the Go Pro from my iPad before. I thought since I do not receive any service at all from my iPhone that it would not connect. Glad to know this. I guess it makes since though. They work off do the remote so.....one of those "Wow" moments.
