Adderall abuse
what is adderall?
Adderall is a combination of amphetamine and dextroamphetamine that is used primarily to treat the symptoms of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (adhd). It has benefits with sleep disorders and reported, off-label utility in managing some forms of severe depression as well.
This drug is classified as a central nervous system stimulant, which means it speeds up and heightens certain bodily processes. Adderall is an oral medication prescribed by a physician who will normally start a patient on a low dose to avoid unwanted side effects, gradually increasing it as necessary.
Adderall abuse occurs in several ways including:
Taking a higher dose of the substance than prescribed.
Taking the medicine through a non-approved method like snorting.
Taking the drug for reasons other than medical need, such as to stay awake for long periods of time.
Taking the medication more frequently than prescribed.
Taking someone else’s medication.
Purchasing the drug from an illicit source for recreational use.
Doctors that prescribe this stuff should know better. Once a person is hooked on this stuff they go on to the meth.

Effectively enforce the laws we have in place instead of creating new laws that don't do anything but make some lawmaker feel good and win them votes from their supporters that wanted another new "feel good" law being passed! People are going to abuse anything that they choose to whether it's aspirin to enemas (yea, look it up geesh). Do we need to make possession of Bayer Aspirin a felony?

Yes, people abuse this drug but there are a lot of people out there that don't and it helps them to live a normal daily life! Just because a legitimate drug is being abused by a percentage of its users doesn't mean that it should stop being prescribed or used. My daughter is 9 and in public school, I guess I better start checkin her backpack to make sure she hasn't moved up to meth!

People lie like no other and steal for them too. And I guess it just depends on what they take I guess but I've seen how people addicted to pills act when they're using. It's scary....they act weird. Big time. I remember one time my cousin stayed at my house. I was asleep and heard someone in the kitchen so I got up. She started talking to me but I have no idea what she said. I went back to bed but I couldn't sleep. She just walked through the house all night occasionally looking in every room in the house. It freaked me out big time.
That DOPE is terrible. Unfortunately my mother and sisters lives have been ruined by pills. They will lie and steal to get a pill. I have cut ll ties with them. My sister has been in prison multiple times for stealing prescription pads and stuff from doctors.

It was called Texas Meth or something like that. It showed how the Meth goes from Houston to Austin for "festival season" and showed all the players involved, well, in masks of course.
I was amazed how much they were moving and they weren't hardly even a fraction of the monster. That drug is BAD news and will only get worse it seems.
I had my fun when I was young but dang I stayed away from those ones that could hook you bad.

This is real talk.... and so sad. I've seen it happen to someone I could NEVER imagine it could happen to. I also learned you don't have to be skinny and toothless to be an addict. When the pain med prescriptions stopped the addiction didn't, so they moved on to other things.
Plenty of money and time on their hands made for a deadly combination.
