The Saturday after Thanksgiving as I was walking out to my blind, I jumped him, and never saw him the rest of the hunt.

Dec. 5, 2015 that Saturday morning, 30 degrees and about 7:15 he came to the feeder! He was along with three other young axis spikes and a young axis doe. Right when he walked in I knew it was him and wasted no time, big mistake. I basically rushed my shot, taking a quartering to me shot, having a nice entrance, it was just too far back of an exit. I had a pass through but knew he needed time. Later on that morning a buddy and I went looking for him (I'll leave out some detail) and we found him! Moral of the story I learned to never rush a shot, I personally don't like quartering to me shots.

But, he is my biggest axis with a bow and a trophy to me! I'm proud of him and have been hunting our property my whole life waiting for a buck like that with my bow. I am going to get the hide tanned and plan on doing a euro myself (hopefully pics to come)!

                  Thanks for reading

Congrats! You probably know my brother in law, Garrett Pressler.
