Savage 111 Syn Stock recoil reduction system??

I was wondering if I would be able to install this recoil reduction system in the stock of a Savage 111 synthetic stock rifle? Anyone on the GS know if it is possible or not?

Drill hole, insert and epoxy. I did one using a Benelli shotgun recoil absorber.
The absorber is just a sealed metal cylinder with half pound of mercury inside.
Works very good but sure makes a gun butt heavy. In case of a bull barrel it actually helps the balance.

I would think that stock is hollow once you take the butt pad off

Mercury tubes work awesome and yes, I'm almost certain that it can easily be done on a savage 111

Sure will. Have you taken the butt/recoil pad off the butt of the gun?? Is it hollow or solid? I am wondering what the stock is like under the butt/recoil pad.

My 111 stock is hollow the only thing in it is a block of Styrofoam.

Hmmm I bet I could drill a hole in the Styrofoam for the weight tube and it would work.

I was also thinking about adding weight to mine. It's a 7mag and it kicks a little. The tube thing should work.
