She still uses the old flip phone and had to get me to erase her message box last week because she couldn't get any texts.

MY wife got ahold of my iphone one day and did something to the settings that the mail icon at the bottom(just like yours) retrieves my gmail. Well, I never use the one at the bottom and I use my gmail app. So my gmail app will show blank but the one at the bottom has 1257 showing. LOL! I leave it just because I know it drives her nuts.

I have a coworker who's home mail gets returned back twice a year because they never check their mailbox. They have missed a jury summons (lucky jurors weren't needed that day) and birthday presents. Just says there is nothing needed in their mailbox.

The wife has the same problem with her computer email for work. She is changing jobs within the company and was talking about emails the other day. I glanced over and it looked like she had emails from the "stone tablet days," as some were more than ten years old. When asked, she said you never can tell when you might have to go back and reference it. Heck, one writer died about four years or so ago.

She is the same with her text messages. Her phone is about four years old and she has never erased any.

It drives me FREAKIN' NUTS that my wife uses her primary email address to sign up for all these spam/online shopping/coupon/groupon/poupon/catalog/sales ads/updates/bullcrap. When I try to show her how to unsubscribe she gets upset.

I looked at that and literally felt my blood pressure rising. As soon as I hear the tone go off or feel the vibration for email, it has to be read and cleared IMMEDIATELY. No way I could look at that phone and not go insane.
