Well, even more so than before. I went to bed last night feelin great, woke up to go to work this morning and couldn't hardly walk. I don't have a clue what happened but I have a sneaking suspicion that my bride beat me up with a broom handle (aka.... Her ride
) while I was sleeping. She vehemently denies it. Well not really vehemently, it's more like "shut up, if I'm gonna whack you, it isn't gonna be on your foot"
Anyway I suffered through the day not really wanting to get up from my desk other than to make a head call because I have a horrible pain on my left heel just to the left of the Achilles' tendon.... Kinda feels like I have been hit with a ball peen hammer because it's a spot about the size of a 50 cent piece. I know it don't sound like much but IT HURTS LIKE HADES to take a step forward.
I got home and after dinner around 6:00, I got an ice pack, one if the cold packs that have the blue gel in them. I put on a merino wool sock instead of wrapping the ice pack in a dish towel.
About 2 hours later while sittin here watching tv I realize my foot has been on this ice pack and I can't feel any "cold" at all and the ice pack is thawed. I realized how warm merino wool is and when I took my foot off of the ice pack, I realized how good of an insulator it was...... Where my foot was sitting, the ice pack was not only still frozen, there was still frost in the outside of the pack
I know, kinda dumb, but I thought it was cool. I certainly never knew it was THAT GOOD of an insulator
