I'll second the Rib King's kudos for the monopod in ground blind/run & gun situations. I use my pod more than the tripod. Turn it and the camera upside down to get some cool, low angle shots while walking (you can flip the image in post), extend the pod and turn the LCD screen down and you have a boom/high angle shot when needed, throw the pod/camera over your shoulder for those long walks in Africa. Nothing beats a pod for ground blind work and versatility.
