    Ultimate AR upper for accuracy

I want to build a new upper for my LWRC M6A2 - to be specifically swapped on for predator/hog slaying at distance.

I will be using my Swarovski M3 4-12x50 on top, and I will eventually use an Armasight clip on Gen2+ NV for nocturnal shenanigans.

It will be a little while before I can get this build going, since I have some stuff to pay off, but I wanted to get some info and knowledge to prepare for when I can started.

What does the GS brain trust have to recommend?

Well the high end GAP, Les bear, Jp are all great from what I hear also pof. I currently shoot a dpms lr 260 out to 1000 yards with very good results. If your wanting to stay in a ar15 platform 6.5 Grendel would be the way to go in my opinion.

          Man that brake looks clean!

Way better than the Jerry Miculek special I run..

Buy the absolute best barrel you can and throw whatever else you want around it

I've got a 20" YHM fluted barrel with a vortex Srike Eagle and Armsight PVS14 and a Silencer Co Harvester on the end. My YHM barrel is screwed into an Anderson upper. You can spend thousands of dollars on an upper and it be no more accurate than a "not so name brand" one. Mine will put as many as you want in a sub 1/2" hole

              Thanks!

Yeah, my "plan" is to use my Swaro, use a clip on Armasight with it, and a suppressor. I'm basically wanting the "ultimate" predator/hog upper in 5.56

If I were building a setup like that, it wouldn't be in 5.56.

What would you use, that's good for both predators and hogs, and can use the 5.56 lower?

I have an 18 JP Enterprises Super Match with a JP Enhanced BCG and it is rediculous accurate. Can clover a 20 rd mag at 100 and only have a Leupold VXR Patrol x40.

                    It is my predator machine.

I have an Olympic ultramatch upper on mine. Very good shooting barrel. It is a 1 in 10 twist though if you are planning to shoot the heavy stuff.

                        Something like a 6.5 Grendel or possibly a 6x45.

I will throw my vote in for the 6.5 grendel. I have a stag arms 24" 5.56 1:8 that shoots better than most men. But my go to is the 18" black hole weaponry 6.5 grendel lighter to carry and downright mean on deer and hogs. It isn't the best pelt gun but there is no perfect weapon for everything out there.

I have a Precision Firearms upper in 6.5 Grendel and it is a hog killing machine. Prefer the 120gr Barnes loads on pigs and 129gr Accubonds for the longer stuff. Surprising what that little cartridge will do on an AR platform.

Another vote here for the 6.5 Grendel. I have one with an 18" barrel and it does a number deer and hogs.
