    Rattlesnakes

Always get a laugh at the hunters that show up at lunch in starched shirts and snake boots.

Its 80* and two weeks into December. I just got an appreciation for snake boots.

This guy was coiled up just outside the front door.

Good news is bucks are chasing in south Texas

Snake may be my good luck charm. Photo on facebook popped up reminding me I shot my buck this day last year.

Same rainy conditions. Pulled up and had a decent but young 8 pushing a doe. Might see muy

There's probably a den somewhere close. More than likely they were just layed up together. They do the wild thing in the Spring.

We've seen them in January standing up have some fun together at our place a couple of times, might just be practicing!

It's a dominance thing but it is odd they were doing that this time of year. Both of those snakes look to be males. When you see them stand up and twist around each other and pushing eachother down that's what they're doing. Showing dominance to get a woman. I've never seen snakes doing that in person.

Down where they're at it they have two springs, Nov.-Dec. and Feb.-March, January is reserved for fall/winter.

Lol I didn't think of it like that. Their snakes probably don't go into hibernation. At least not for very long.
