Lets talk Polaris ranger 1/2 doors

Have any of you built your own 1/2 doors for the ranger? I have a 14 ranger crew and I am seriously thinking about adding doors. Whether it be someone fab me some up or some from Dragon Fire.

Those of you with 1/2 doors, did it cut down on the dust coming in from the floor boards behind the front tires? Also pros and cons on your doors.

And is there anyone interested on getting me a price on building some? Latches, hinges, and all.

I have tried taking the front out and leaving the rear, taking the rear windshield out and leaving the front, you name it, it hasn't helped.

Also with the doors, I am trying to alleviate all the mud being thrown in.

That's the only reason I sold mine. Dust! Save some money and buy a used Tahoe or suburban with A/Cand heat, and zero dust!

A friend put a lift kit on his and it drastically cut down on the dust.

I put the metal fenders on the the front and eliminated mud in the cab. Except if the windshield is off and I go fast it will throw clods ahead.

As far as doors and dust, I am in black land most of the time and do not encounter this.

Nothing like driving a big heavy tank around the lease!
Warm, cool, dry, and dust free you may be but a bus has way more limitations than a ranger as far as access.
                  I have a ranger, 4-wheeler, a jeep 4x4 cj7, and a 4x4 F150 to cover all my bases.

Anyone else have experience with 1/2 doors? Or anyone want to quote me a price to build some?

I have had many Rangers and dust is always an issue. The crews are the worst. A buddy of mine tried the half doors and it did not fix the problem. Also have tried fender flares thinking that the tire sticking outside the body was causing the large amount of dust, that helped a bunch but did not completely fix it. I always have windshields and roofs on mine to break the cold air and rain, but I finally went the the soft side full doors and back glass to completely enclose it and that fixes it. If you have a windshield or are buying one get one that can flip open or vent the bottom of it. When they are closed they seam to create a vortex and the dust swirls inside the cab. If you vent the windshield it allows dust to pass through and not build up as much. This is just my experience with it, I'm sure there are other opinions. I would spend the money on the fender flares before you do half doors.

I have a '13 full size crew. Only thing ive heard that helps is to get the 2 piece windshield from seizmik and take out the bottom windshield. Then add a rear windshield. Supposedly it creates positive pressure in the cab and keeps most dust out.

I have the seizmik windshield, just havent bought the rear windshield. The seizmik windshields are great though. My lower windshield cracked while trailering last year. I called to order a new one (and pay for it) and they replaced the entire thing with their new updated design free of charge even though it was out of warranty! Cant ask for better than that!

Install one of those spray bars, on the front to settle the dust before you drive over it!
