Newest member of the family

Just bought a German Shepherd and he is unbelievably smart. I've always owned pit bull's my whole life and they are smart but this guy i swear one day will be reading dog food cans and making his own choices. He is about to be 3 months and is already 25lbs. This is my first dog from the Shepard family and let me tell you he is a big baby. Extremely vocal until he gets his way. Any advice would be helpful on dealing with this breed. As this breed is very new to me. Ive read a bunch of books and visited numerous websites but actual owner recommendations is greatly appreciated. He is potty trained but has a few accidents. He sits, stays and lays down, but has a biting problem, he stops when you tell him to, he is teething have i have elk antlers for him to chew on. Thanks for looking.

for sure! I was walking him the other day with my son and he tripped and skinned his knee, at almost 3 months old he stood by my son and didn't leave him until he stopped crying and walked away. what a great breed.

My last German Shepherd would open our back door, let our other dog back inside the house, and then close the door. Crazy smart dogs.
In a year or two, your dog will probably be doing your taxes, and increasing the size of your return.
