I'm a guy that loves huge ranches and vast, less commercialized, giant deer county so my choices would be Irion, Reagan, Gaines, Gray, Donley or Wheeler..

They are just a dang long drive for me..

Y'all can have South Texas... I'm out..



Old Mexico is by far my favorite place.... Some great, unforgettable, big buck were memories made across the river..

Old Mexico for me too! I noticed that the deer numbers in the two ranches I leased in Mexico weren’t as high as most counties in Texas but the the quality on average was WAY better. I looked around STX for a while but there were a lot of “600 acre for 10 guns” type of spots last time I checked. Wonder why one county is a red zone and the one right next to it isn’t? Topography, vegetation?
