We tracked the deer over 4 miles that night and Mr. Hindes ended up putting him on the ground with his pistol. He said it was one of the longest tracking jobs he has ever done but man was it fun.
He posted yesterday about tracking a STUD of a deer 6 miles a few days ago... Looks like yours got beat by a few miles.. HA

I don't know Kevin, but do know Roy....SUPER nice guy and I'm a BIG fan of him and his dogs!

I had to kiss Ol Shep after they found my buck a couple years ago!

I was told they had good blood for 100+ yards then it ran out. They are coming home for the evening. They're planning to go back out in the morning if they can find some dogs. hope this ended well for you.

Roy Hindes Reputation precedes him, and it is well earned from what I can tell.

BIL had to run into the office and I had to leave for freer. No luck yet. Should have the dogs out soon. I'll update after I hear back. I'm in the bow stand now waiting on the big one. Hopefully we will have 2 LDPs by the end of the night.

Agreed. Not my deer so not my choice unfortunately.

And if the he hasn't been devoured by coyotes the meat surely won't be good. That's tough but I'm still hoping he can recover the antlers at least.
