    Help me pick a bowcase

I need a bowcase that will make sure my Hoyt makes it to Pike County, Illinois in November.

Is anyone familiar with this Toughmate model from Cabela's?

    Toughmate

Is that one any better/worse than the SKB. It is less expensive than the SKB.

    SKB Rectangular

I have also thought about getting a Storm or Pelican brand generic case and making it work. These seem a bit narrow, but I could make it work. With this one, the sight would have to come off to fit the bow in it. It is 14" inside where the other's are 17". I just like the Storm/Pelican style cases.

    Storm

    Any thoughts, suggestions, recommendations?

I've flown several times with the cheap plastic Plano cases packed tight and have never had a problem. The Toughmate looks like a goodun. SKB has a terrific history of protecting things. I don't think I'd get something that would require me to take things on/off my bow just to transport. Just my thought.
If I didn't think my opinion was right, then it wouldn't be my opinion. So, any other opinion must be wrong, therefore stupid.

Oh and my Hoyt made it to Ohio and back in my SKB............of course since the Hoyts are so tough they would probably be OK without a case ...........Good luck in Illinois this November..........

I've got a SKB double gun case. Quality product, damage coverage and TSA locks made the decision for me.

                  Casey-
I just got the SKB Roto Military double bow case and it is awesome. really didnt need the double but wanted the extra room the double provides. Can pack plenty of stuff in the case with my bow but have it seperated with the divider. Has roller wheels and a handle on the end as well as in the middle.
                  Good luck on your trip.

x2 for this case. It is absolutely UNBELIEVABLE. It is pricey but it is worth it in my opinion. I have searched and searched for a kick butt two bow case that can actually carry two bows and I finally found it with this case. I can't say enough good things about this case.

skb all the way. i had a 400 lbs man jump on one and it didn't break. plus you can change the interior to fit any bow and accessories

                        Casey,

Another vote for the SKB double. I have never seen the other one you listed in person. I know it's not very often that you'll need to put two bows in a case to save room, but it does come in handy from time to time.

I'd think most have an easy $1,000+ invested in their bows. We don't think twice about a $10 broadhead, a $100/dozen arrows, or a $100 sight. Why buy a cheap *** bow case to protect it all?

This is the SKB Roto Military double bow case. It is a perfect bowcase.

i have flown several times with a cheap thirty dollar case and had the airlines put a fragile sticker on my case not that they pay attention but have been fine everytime.
