Stuff It Taxidermist moved to Longview

A new taxidermist recently opened in Longview; moved from Clarendon...Stuff It Taxidermy, owned by Larry Stanfield. Anybody ever use him out in the Clarendon area? Any recommendations or otherwise?

Wonder if he is related to Stanfield Hunting Outfitters in Knox City?

If it's the one I am thinking of, he was just off the square in Clarendon. Stopped in a couple of times. If it is the same guy, I remember the work as average, nothing jumped out at me as being terrible or knock your socks off cool and great.

The name would make me shy away and after viewing their gallery, I personally wouldn't consider them. JMO

            I agree.

Most taxidermists do not use, or like to even hear the word "stuff" in any conversation relating to taxidermy. In the old days, like when you were a teen, Burnadell, taxidermy was actually stuffed.

Looking at his gallery, I think I'd keep looking.

Stanfield's Hunting is Jeff......I don't think I would do business with Larry. His gallery is not good.

Yeah, I wondered why he does not have a single whitetail shoulder mount in his gallery. Strange.

After viewing the gallery for just a minute.....no bueno!!! Everything has a "roughed up look" to it in my opinion.....the coyote with quail in its mouth is not impressive and I have multiple pheasants in my hunting room and I would be totally disappointed with those pheasant mounts!

Wow! I looked at the gallery and I'll just say that everyone is being very nice with their comments. I will just keep mine to myself!
