Again I don’t know how much truth there is to it but it makes sense.
I've heard stories along same lines about clipping a notch in bottom of main beams early in velvet. Then drops would grow from that point. Never actually heard if any validity to this?!?

Supposedly , needle and hooks. The big bulbs are not natural so it makes sense to me. I will ask a breeder buddy more about it. He isn't the one who told me though.

Marko was a very close second!!!

These type of deer just aren't my cup of tea, even if I had this guy's resources. I would book hunt every year with Marko on his ranch, or some place of that caliber. I just prefer native genetics...

That is my preference, if this cat wants to drop untold thousands on a 548" deer, by all means. I am not going to judge him for it, heck I don't even care what it cost. That's the beautiful thing about supply and demand, that ranch had a deer that this guy wanted to kill, he can obviously afford it, so everybody is a winner. Congrats to All!!!

I think that Bucks been breaking the substance abuse policy.. 100% fair chase seems to be dying these days, shame.

Sadly jealousy and or judging is not.

I'm not a HF hater, just not my thing....even if I could afford it. At the same time, deer like this, while impressive, just don't do it for me. I'd rather see a beast of a free range deer.

I read some where that those big bulbs are cause from blood pooling in the bottom of the antler after an injury. I wonder if they use the needle to open the blood flow and the hook make it pool?

Jealousy? I think not sir.. not trying to start an argument here just my .02

Id be far more proud of a 140 harvested on public land, than something like this. You dont BUY deer you HUNT deer, but i guess that concept is lost on most folks these days..
