On. The one I use is attached by the limb bolts (recurve). I have a detachable one (Great Northern), but I don't like it and don't use it.

When I shot a compound I left the quiver on, and it was a detachable.
Personally, I think people make too much out of it.

ON! for me, it's what I've practiced with since I bought it and the weight distribution just feels off if it's not on and I can't shoot straight! I don't hunt out of blinds though so that may make a difference.

I used to have ladder stands in North Carolina that I would screw the quick connect attachment from my quiver to the tree and attach my quiver to. If hunting from a climber I kept it on.

I used a wood screw and would detach my quiver from my bow and connect to the little piece screwed to the tree.
