    game hoist/loader for atv

    Need help finding one
My dads getting to the point where its a pain to put a deer on his 4 wheeler, has a winch on the front but doesn't always have something to throw it over and that can be a pain sometimes as well. looking for something removable that he can put in the receiver hitch on 4 wheeler, would be awesome if also an adapter was available to use on the truck but not sure if that's an option

closest ive found but want something that will swivel so you winch it up, turn it , winch it down onto back rack. is there something out there that yall have seen?

I see a lot like this but not any that swivel

If he has a winch, something like this would work well.

This is the one I use on my truck. Premium Receiver Hitch Swivel Hoist (ACH514). I don't think it will work on an atv but maybe on a utv.

They make hoists just like the one in your link that do swivel so you can gut the deer, then swivel the top of the hoist around and put the deer in your truck.

Here is a link to one that swivels, from a TBH sponsor: http://www.foreverlastonline.com/Hitch-Hoist_p_49.html

Also, the one in your link has the winch mounted waaaaaaaaaaay to low!

I have one, but a buddy of mine custom made it.
My 4-wheeler has the same hitch and I use it on it too.

Just spit ballin here, would the weight of a large buck or pig being lifted by one of these hoists cause the front end of the atv to lift off the ground?

If you don't find what you are looking for and can wait until spring, I'll build you one.

I needed one of those too, got to looking at one and decided to make one. Things to consider that the retail types don't do or have; make it to where if used on your truck you can lower tailgate, it must swivel. I made mine out of bigger tubing and a lot taller. I can hoist a deer and skin it without bending over. It can be used on truck, atv, or utv. I bet you could find someone to make it cheaper than buying at store, idk. But i can say that thing is super nice and a must have tool now.

Look at Sportsman Guide. I think they have one that swivels for less than $100.00.

And also some atv's are only rated for 35 lbs hitch weight, yes they can pull 900 lbs or more but just pure weight on the hitch is rated way lower. I know my Artic Cat is. I have seen several hitches cracked and had to be welded back in place.

I have this exact one - but bought from SPORTSMAN'S GUIDE for $100 on sale

                          it holds DEER GREAT.

I use it on my TRUCK ---- I added an 18" hitch adapter
to it so that I can open the TAILGATE and then just SPIN IT into the bed / cooler for ease of work..
