    Covert Blackhawk Wireless (Verizon)

Was wondering if anyone on here is running one of the new Verizon based Covert cameras yet. I am not able to make calls but can text out on Verizon phones on my lease. No service at all with my AT&T covert there. I am wanting to pull the trigger on one but curious to see how they do with weak signal.

From my experience, if you cannot make phone calls you will not be able to send pictures. I may be wrong but this is my experience. I think you need 4G service to send pics.

        MMS requires data.

Not sounding good. Was really hoping it would work.

Buy you a yagi antenna. Stick it up in the air about 15 ft and point in the direction of the Verizon tower.

I just ordered one for my dad for Christmas. I'll let him be the guinea pig and report back.

                      Don't think this is true

I believe you are correct since the cameras are 3g cameras and don't have 4g capabilities.

Following! ATT is spotty at our place in Sutton County, but Verizon works well. I might have to try one out.

Just wanted to update. We have moved my dad's camera all over and have only found a couple of dead areas. My att covert will not work in any of the locations we tried on the lease. This new Verizon camera seems to be able to really reach out and grab a signal. It is working in an area, with just the stock antenna, that I can't even send a text out on my Verizon S5 phone. I will definitely have one of these before next season.

I bought one for use in Coleman, Tx cell service is not that good on the ranch but with the optional antenna 12' in the air I can pull 3 bars I'm using 12 AA batteries with the Covert solar panel it works great during the daylight hours but at night the batteries go dead very fast Covert told me I could hook up a 12 volt external battery source with an adapter cable so opening weekend it's going to be a 12v deep cycle battery with a 12v solar panel if I can get it to take pics throughout the day and night I'm going to buy another one for my place in Cushing, Tx
I'll let ya'll know it works out
