    Taxidermist Needed

Looks like I need recommendations for a good Taxidermist. My 12 yr old got the opportunity to go to Kansas with his Granddad last week. They were able to harvest this great 9pt. Now I'm on the hook to get it mounted. I would prefer to use someone in the Houston Area.

That's a dandy buck! Congratulations. Make sure to post up the taxi work when it's done.

We use Overall Taxidermy in New Caney. He has done all of our deer and does the entire families. He's finishing up my FIL's elk and has my uncle's red stag at the moment.

Here is my buck from last year. The marks on the hide are from ticks. He said he has never seen them like that before.

Like was stated, there are a few TBH'ers that do taxi work here in the Houston area
Jimmy Janak has done all of my deer and he does really good work. He's located between Huffman and Crosby

Not the greatest pics but they are the only ones I have in my phone. It's the last two he mounted for me

I'm on the fence with this deer. I want to shoulder mount him since it was his first big buck but he's not as big as I hoped he would be for spending that kind of money. A euro may have to work for this one.

                          Congrats to your son.

I know if it were me, I would be saying pops, who took him to kill it? That is who will taxi it for him.

I have noticed over the years, grandparents are way more lenient with their grandkids than they were with their own kids (ME) when it comes to spending money.

I tried that route. He said he would pay for the lease and the license but the mount was on me. Since I've never had the opportunity to shoot one big enough to mount myself my son might have to pay for half himself. Lol
