broadhead for a javi?

i have some monster mechanicals i use for turkey and im headed for south texas and everyone i talk to tells me to use big mechanicals on javelina. the broadhead is the turkey tom o hawk from trophy ridge. im pretty sure i will get a shot at one what type of broadhead should i use?

What ever you normally use for hunting, not turkey hunting. The same broadheads you use for hogs, deer, etc.. Javis are not that tough.

i have shot two with a bow. both with rages. one dropped on the spot cuz i hit it in the spine as it was runnin away lol and on the second the arrow just blew through it and he stood there frozen then got all wobbly legged and fell down...blood everyone, wouldnt expect anything less from a rage. they really are not that tough on an arrow or broadhead. stick with the normal stuff, heck i would use a cheap broadhead its just a rat lol

If you hit the upper area of the white collar, you can use a field point and it will go down!

I've killed them with several broadheads... mostly slick tricks... I once tried those Eastman's they sell at Academy... worst broadhead I've shoot.

Pretty much any broad head you would use on any thing else.

If you don't want to spend a ton of money buy some of those 2 Blade Rocky Mountain Snypers. They are the same as the Rage 2 Blades - or really close, and they are quite a bit cheaper. A Javi sure won't know the difference.
