I have the Excalibur Axiom that has the composite body and is their least expensive bow. Had it for about 3 years without any problems. Shoots 300 FPS vs 250 FPS for the Barnett recurve.

My brother has a Camx Chaos, awesome good crossbow, made in USA good support from the manufacturer. I use a Bowtech Stryker 350, its about 4 years old, no problems, good safety device. I would recommend either. Bowtech has a new Solution out, supposed to be pretty good. The link is for Dave Wyvern, he is the man when it comes to Bowtechs.
Go to Crossbow Nation.com to get some reviews on different bows.
Mine is a good shooter but due to string noise my distance is limited to about 30- 35yds. To take a longer shot I believe is unethical as it gives the deer to much time to jump the string. Just my opinion though.
Wyvern Creations are experts in crossbows & accessories with top brands and outstanding service. We'll help you find the best crossbow for your needs.
The last crossbow thread I saw on here got locked down by the mods, I didn't see why, so good luck.
Edit: my strings and cables lasted 3 years, I broke it down during the off season and sent it in to Wyvern for new. Works like a champ now, this years buck was at 17 yards and split his heart.Last edited by BigNick; 12-07-2015, 08:33 PM.
