After a great morning hunt we decided to wall around and rattle a little bit, didn't have much luck, it was pretty windy. Headed back to camp to take a nap around 1230, nxt thing you know it was 430! Overslept just a bit haha
Got into the stand about 450 and right off the bat had action, had 2 nice 8's cross a pipeline about 250 yds west of us but the sun was in our face and my wife couldn't find them in the scope. About 515 I glassed the draw to our south and noticed this guy heading our direction, he got out in front of us and was waking a road west of the creek and didn't act like he was gonna give us a shot so I hit the grunt call, 30 seconds later the was on a b-line headed straight for us, she shot him facing at us at 100 yds with the 6.5, dropped like a ton of bricks. She was beside herself, I got pretty fired up myself , couldn't have asked for a better day!!
