    Tpwd stocked trout

Anybody have any luck catching them? I went to a stocked pond last year a couple times and no luck. Tried corn though. I'm thinking about buying some power bait trout nibbles to try this year!

Had luck with red salmon eggs, small hook, with a small split shot 18"s up the line.

Use float fish on bottom etc...?

No float. Let it sink to the bottom.Keep the line tight and wait to feel a tap. You may lose a few salmon eggs but if you are paying attention you can catch a limit.

I was just reading some more info on them. They were saying they usually stay 18"-24" under water and swim in a clockwise circle in groups....in a pond anyways.

on the bottom with power trout. kids have caught a bunch of them. 2# line- very small hooks, ultralights- it aint hard and you should have your limit within an hour or less.

We tear them up with small Mepps spinners

you can use a float if they are up in the water column. As mentioned above, light line and small hooks are best. A tiny treble hook and velveeta is very effective (use it weightless under a float or with a small split shot to get it to the bottom)

Me and a buddy tore them up on a small lure called super duper. My buddies girlfriend was with us and she was using corn and trout powerbait and caught 2 while me and buddy caught 20+ a piece. My buddy eventually gave her his rod and she started catching them left and right.

That's what we used for pickerel up north when I was a kid.
