    Mr Buddy Heater Problem

I climb in my pop up nice and early and I'm sitting here for 15 min trying to light my heater. It only does this when I leave it in the blind over night. Any of yall had this happen ?

Yes, they get moisture in them. The ignitor will not work while damp. If you leave it overnight, bring a lighter and it should work. Hope this helps.

The ignitor is working but the pilot won't light. I tried switching to a full bottle but it didn't fix the problem.

Send it back. They will fix it for you. Cheaper than buying a new one. Most of the time it just needs cleaning the gas jet.

                  1. Run a toothpick down the gas port.

                  2. I always have a BBQ stick lighter with me instead of using the striker. It's quieter than that loud arse striker but more important, it will help you heat up the thermocouple. Turn the gas to start. Hold it down and put the lighter flame to it and the thermocouple. Hold the gas down for 30sec to a minute even after it has lit. If its a cold thermocouple it will heat up quickly and the pilot will stay lit.

If you hit the pilot button and get a big orange flame like a cigarette lighter flame then all you need to do is get a Q tip and peel most of the cotton off of it and dip it in alcohol then run the Q tip down the flame tube it should go in there about 2" swab it a couple of times. Then hit the pilot button again and you should have a nice short blue flame similar to a cutting torch when it's ready to cut. This will only fix it if you have the big orange lazy lookin flame that won't stay lit not saying this method will fix every heater but it hasn't let me down yet.

                            hill country decreases the distance.

it's sixty up there in Oklahoma.

Orange yellowish flame means restriction in pilot tube clean tube
