31 here in Mason Co according to weather underground, doesn't feel that cold. I dressed warm and now I'm on the verge of sweating except for my ears.

Agreed. We are in Sw San Saba County and doesn't feel as cold as forecasted.

It's a great morning to be hunting! I've had 5 young bucks and one borderline 8, giving him a pass for now, he was definitely the big dog around here, none of the offer bucks would even look his direction, just felt like he needed a year or two and I want his genes spread. Lost count if all the does. They're still chasing pretty good here, and some fighting amongst bucks.

In my tree since 6 am, looks like I'm hunting a river there's so much water. Just about had to swim the Ranger through the bottoms. But deer gotta move to eat so here I sit with frozen toes.

In blind in the Panhandle hunting MLD. Shot a old 10 at 7:30, watched him go down in thick brush and giving him another 30 min.

Well, I tried to quit at 9, but had deer surrounding me until nearly 10! Just nothing I really felt like cleaning. Did hear some bucks fighting in the distance. Watched some decent 8's sparring and everything was like you would expect, antlers rattling no big deal. A few minutes later, from an area we call the sanctuary, I hear horns clashing that sounded like a bunch of 2x4's falling off a pile pig lumber!
