Has anyone ever done an even trade for vehicles with someone? Question about paperwor

I may be doing an even trade with someone for vehicles. Since no money is exchanging hands what do you put on paperwork as far as selling price etc? I will begin researching issue on the googler but like everyone else - very little you can't find out quickly on the green screen.

If I'm not mistaken, it won't matter what you put on the paperwork. The tax office will base your tax to get it licensed in your name by the book value of the car. No way around it.

From my experience it doesn't matter what you put money wise you'll still pay taxes on the amount they say it's worth when you title it. Don't think that helps you though I put $100 on a vehicle I received.

I did last year
When i went to register it tax office im fairly certain it only cost me about $ 5-10 title transfer fee only since i did not actually pay for it and registration was still good.
But, i really cant be certain they didnt charge me more but it seems like that was it

That's it! Iv done it a couple times. On the title transfer sheet you get from the tax office it will have a box for an even trade. Like he said all it'll cost you it $5-6 buck as long as both cars registration us utd
