        Awesome video. I see that you hunt Atascsosa County. We are a few miles outside of Pleasanton and to the East. Was up there the week of Thanksgiving. Is the rut about to kick off? Saw young bucks pestering does but nothing serious as of last week. Any info would be appreciated. Off all next week and was hoping we timed it right. Thanks in advance for any info.

            Sorry, not much help this year. I'm currently missing a knee in my right leg and not hunting. Based on past history however I would expect the rut to be in full bloom by the weekend.

                        December 10th through Christmas is best, the rut will trickle along those days. The young bucks always chase first, then the older bucks will appear after the younger bucks have put in most of the legwork and take the hot does....hunted south of Pleasanton the last 8-9 years
