    Squirrel question

Anybody else notice very young cat squirrels running around? I saw one this morning that was about 1/3 the size of normal. All of the fox squirrels I saw were grown. I have had some other people mention seeing small squirrels as well and a woman had a very small one at the hospital the other day, said that Ike blew it out of a tree in the yard
Will they raise 2 litters in a year? I have no idea what the gestation is on a squirrel

I just got back from a bowhunting/camping trip at Lake Somerville, and I saw a couple of pretty young squirrels. Like you I felt it was kind of late in the year to see squirrels this small.

I've been seeing quite a few 1/2 grown cat squirrels and very few young fox squirrels. i think everything is normal as usually there are more young gray type. Most of the ones I see get the CCI near bouts the head. Squirrels have a litter in the spring, ready to kill around May 1st, and again in the fall ready for the pot Oct. 1st. i killed an old momma catS the other day that had 3 babies in her
