Interesting waterfowl bands. Lets see them

This came from a snow goose we shot in the 1970's. It was taken in Katy on the corner of IH-10 and Fry road where the Home Depot now sits.

These bands were 11 yrs old, so old they wouldn't pay me the $100 due to the grant expiring.

The one and only band I've ever gotten. Lost the dadgum thing moving.

I'll never forget this hunt though, sophomore in college, went and visited my buddy out at tech, tailgate started at 7 am, drank all day and partied all night till 3am, went home grabbed our gear and headed out. Passed out in the blind till we were awoken by the loud obnoxious honking of geese. Woke up and shot at them and woke up the roosting cranes and the rest is history.

Probably the only time I'll ever shoot a band or a cinnamon teal in my life.

I have one from a greater Canadian that was worn paper thin. He was banded for 9 years and it might not have stayed on another season.

Shot one on a 15 yo mallard hen. That I had to have sent in and etched. It was banded about 10 miles from the spot I shot her.

I also have a band on a mallard drake that came from New Jersey of all places. I got that one on the Trinity river.
