My son is in Korea right now and asked me to send some good wool socks and some good base layer tops and bottoms. So what do y'all recommend?

First Lite Merino Wool. Its kind of expensive, but worth the money.

Minus 33 makes nice wool clothing that costs a lot less than First Lite, Ibex, Smartwool, etc.

Sock Liners....get the stuff that wicks moisture away from your feet. Then good wool- blend socks over the liners.
If he's walking at all then a good wicking base layer is key to staying warm after you've stopped moving. Sock liners even if your not moving much....

Keen makes great merino wool socks. If you want some good merino baselayers hit up eBay, you can score some awesome deals on last year's lines. Ibex and icebreaker both make awesome base layers

First lite Merino is the best I've used. Seems to hold up a lot better than most.
