I build houses and a crap ton of other stuff and have been doing that for almost 3 years now. I use my ryobi stuff daily and they get the job done. There's pros and cons to them all!

I got the Dewalt 18v for Christmas about 6yrs ago and its still running strong. I take it everywhere with me and use it all the time. I NEVER go the lease without it. Ive replaced the batteries once and all the tools still work like they did when new. I really want the 20v..BAD.

Hone depot has them all on sale right now. They had a full set with multiple tools including circular saw and drill for under 150 I don't remember exactly. And they drill and impact driver combo for like 99 or something with two chargers and batteries

          Thanks for all the replies.
I had a chance to go by Lowe's and HD after work today and there are a ton of different combos. I currently have the 18v makita set with drill and impact but the batteries don't seem to hold up. I could get 2 new batteries for $100 or get the dewalt drill with 2 20v batteries for the same price. I could also go the route of ryobi and get more tools for just a little more money. I really don't use them all that much. Also saw the rigid at HD with the lifetime warrant which seems like a good deal if the batteries go out.

I tried to save money and bought a hitachi drill. It struggled to drill a hole in a 2x4, so I returned it for a DeWalt. From then on, I just went with the DeWalt. I remodeled our house, built a fence around our backyard, and build a deer stand this year. Not a pro, just a DIY guy.

Ryobi has been in my toolbox for about 5 years now. Circular saw, saws all and drill kit. Batteries are heavy but they hold charge
